January and February 2015
The Spectacular Ripple Effect of Life Experiences

Happy New Year to each and every one of you! January is such a month of contradictions. Reflecting on the year gone past and anticipating what the New Year will bring.

Reflecting on the year gone past, the CAIW has had its challenges and many successes. I have also had many challenges and successes. It is those challenges and successes that help us prepare for the upcoming year.

I am not a big believer in resolutions; they are too easily forgotten once you get caught up in the day to day of life. What I prefer to do is take stock of what I did last year and use those experiences to plan for the next year. I can honestly say looking back, 2014 was a spectacular year. One of the reasons is the opportunity to serve as your CAIW President. It has presented me great opportunities to get out and visit associations and participate in local association events. I have also had the pleasure of meeting so many new people! It doesn’t get much better than that. Believe it or not as a child I was very shy and the thought of talking to someone I didn’t know was overwhelming. I think I have come a long way.

So how do I make this next year better? Well more of the same! Travelling to the local association events and getting to meet even more new people. What challenges will I be facing? Thinking of facilitating the 2015 Convention and AGM has me quaking in my boots. But I am preparing and have been in communication with the organizers for the 2015 Convention in Brandon. It’s going to be a great convention.

I hope when you look over all that you accomplished in the past year that it brings a smile to your face. And this then inspires you to do great things in the year to come.

Yours in Fellowship,

Tracy Fata, BSc. FCIP CRM
